What are Tangrams?
Tangrams are Chinese puzzles that consist of 7 pieces of a square. The children can arrange the 7 pieces to match the pictures. These puzzles work on problem-solving, logic, creativity, math, perceptual reasoning, fine motor, and visual-spatial skills.
How to Make the Tangram Pieces
You can simply print the pieces on cardstock paper and cut out. It is even better if you print them out and glue them to a heavy piece of cardboard or foam board. Then cut out the tangram shapes. Make sure an adult cuts out the Tangram shapes to make them as exact as possible. This will make the puzzles last longer and be easier to complete.
