Get Organized with a Daily Planner
Get Organized with a Daily Planner
I’ll admit it, I am not a very organized person. I have many talents and strengths but organization skills are not on the list for sure. I tend to face each day as it comes and it is not working out lately. This year will be the craziest, most busy year of all of our years of parenting for sure. Our school district is divided into two schools – K through 6 and 7-12. We currently have 4 kids in the 7-12 building, one in K-6 and one is not school age. The four in the high school translates to 4 children participating in school sports, plays, band, chorus, Odyssey of the Mind and other clubs. And that is just school – our children are also involved in church (which reminds me they have choir practice tonight). For example, this week (Saturday – Saturday) we have had 2 cross country meets, 8 soccer games, choir practice, basketball sign-ups and religious education classes. Oh yeah, and every day the pest control guy is coming to see if he caught the squirrel that has created a nest in our attic (that is a whole different story). Add in two working parents and the stress starts to bubble. This is our calm period before the Winter scheduling “storm”! Anyway, your family’s schedule may not be as busy as ours, it may be busier than ours or perhaps you have a happy medium (and I am super jealous if you do).
So this is why I created today’s free printable. I’m going to try and get organized (here is where everyone claps and cheers) and then the people who know me walk away saying “here we go again”. Like I said previously being organized is not my forte so most won’t believe me when I say it will be different this time. If you follow my blog at all you probably too are thinking “nice try” since I am constantly jumping around with topics. Haha! Maybe this will be that ONE time I follow through!
I am starting out small. Just one page – each day at least list 5 things that I must do that day. Seems easy right? If I feel ambitious I will write down some chores that must get done (PS I hate cleaning so I will probably ignore that section). I’m sure I will add to the shopping list. With a family of 8, I go to the store just about every day. I plan on using the Notes page to jot down ideas that I randomly get or just use it because I think it is pretty!
