I am moving on to a new theme and decided on pirates.  Mostly because I have done so many girl friendly ones ie unicorns, trolls and Beauty and the Beast so I figured it was time to throw the boys some activities.  I am starting off with this pirate crossword puzzle.

This pirate crossword puzzle is FREE to download at the bottom of the post.  It is a wonderful activity to challenge a child’s cognitive and visual perceptual skills.

This crossword puzzle uses a word list and pictures.  Look the the picture to find out where to write the word.  Use the list if the child is not sure what is pictured or needs help with spelling a word.

This activity is also great for any pirate themed birthday party to entertain the kids for a few minutes while you wait for guests to arrive, need some downtime at the party to settle the kids down or for just plain unplugged fun!  If you need more activities like this check out Boredom Busters.
